A huge disappointment for Central Michigan who was favored to win their division and had the 2nd highest win total in the conference at 4.5, so winning 4 games and going 4-8 ATS is really bad. One thing to note was QB Daniel Richardson didn’t play the last 2 games that could have swayed the overall outcome and it showed, the team underperformed expected offensive success rate by 15% and 4% and passing success rates by 15% and 17%. He also had to leave the bowling green game early and they ended up losing 18-34 there too. The schedule was tough too. Out of conference games against Oklahoma State, South Alabama in hindsight weren’t quite ideal and then going on the road against Toledo in week 5 put their backs up against a wall. Add in the fact that Central Michigan was the unluckiest team in CFB, and it was a tough year.
