2023 Preview: Georgia Southern

All in all, I think in totality, the Georgia Southern season has to be viewed as a success in Clay Helton’s first year. He came in and totally revamped this squad. The offense was completely overhauled, and it was a massive positive change. All in all, it led them to a 6-6 record, beating Big 10 Nebraska, knocking off conference foes JMU and App St but there is likely some luck involved there. Against Nebraska, JMU and App State they had under a 50% post game win expectancy, but credit to them for finding a way? They will have new challenges to face in 2023, but 2022 had to be viewed as a good year to grow from.
